Site update

A short Field Note on where the 8plus site stands today.

What changed

• Positioning: an independent studio with five ways to work together — commissioned builds, technical consulting, applied AI, training and career talks.
• Mobile first: a thumb-zone tab bar, and a lighter hero scene on phones.
• Performance: the booking widget now loads only when needed and section tracking is lighter. With real throttling on a simulated phone, Lighthouse performance is about 99 and largest contentful paint about 1.7 s.

How I measured

Lighthouse mobile with real (devtools) throttling. The default simulated throttling is more pessimistic (about 89); I record both.
